Island of Giglio, Italy

This island is off the west coast of Italy, in the Mediterranean. It is my favorite island in Italy, so unspoiled and protected. There are no high rises to destroy the views. Only 10% of the island is developed with 1700 permanent residents. Even in high season, it maxes out at about 3500, which still is not a problem.Posted by PicasaThese photos are mostly taken on the Campese side, which is mostly sandy beach, rocks, and many apartments to rent. I have been here many times over the years, and just got back from 2 weeks. Truly paradise.
